West Dean & Centurion Way Walk to Singleton Railway – 4.4 miles
Due to the planned heat again we will do a shorter walk from West Dean and Centurion Way Walk to Singleton Railway – 4.5 miles – 9.30am
A beautiful flatter 4.5 mile walk (approx.) along part of the Centurion Way and part hills viewing the River Lavant. Meeting at the Selsey Arms, West Dean, we will make our way past the West Dean stores, up a slight incline along the track, past the horses and into the bottom of the hills where we may come across sheep in the fields, crossing over a bridge taking us onto the Centurion Way where we will head back towards the beginning viewing the River Lavant, crossing the road and back to the starting point. From here those that want to make it a shorter route can head off back to the start or those wanting to add another 1.5 miles can join us as we will head down and explore the new part of the Centurion Way Walk visiting the old Singleton Railway before returning back to West Dean to enjoy more of the Centurion Way taking us back to the start. Parking, refreshments and facilities are available during opening hours at The Selsey Arms and also West Dean Village Store.
Dogs on leads are welcome, £2 donation for this walk towards our charity of the month. This walk is approx. 7.10km 4.5 miles
